Technology has such a large amount of benefits, but it is at the same time damaging our lives with its negative impacts. We are able to see that nearly everyone one amongst us is employing a technological device before getting to sleep and young adults often use electronic media to assist them relax in the time of night. But, the reality is, using any of these electronic devices before bedtime can have harmful impacts both for mental and physical health, which ultimately results in insomnia and depression.
Electronic devices emit a man-made blue light that may suppress the discharge of the body’s sleep-inducing hormone, melatonin. In turn, this could interfere with the body’s natural internal clock (circadian rhythm) that signals when it’s time to sleep and rouse. The longer teens spend ahead of a device, especially within the evening, the greater the delay within the release of melatonin, making sleep a challenge. They will experience problems falling asleep furthermore as difficulty staying asleep. As a result, these teens sleep fewer overall hours; over time, that sleep deprivation can cause symptoms of depression.
All of this is often true for each age group. So it’s important to initiate a digital curfew for the whole family, a time at which you and your kids close up all electronic devices for the night. Try setting the curfew at two hours before bed, one hour before bed, or maybe half-hour before bed—the earlier within the evening, the better, but whatever feels realistic.
Secondly, you need to use your electronic devices in a dark mood and must activate the eye comfort at midnight. One good substitution is reading. Reading any book of choice under dim light (like lamplight) could be a great choice.

Managing the quantity of your time young adults spend plugged into their electronic devices helps give them the advantages without as many drawbacks, especially when it involves sleep.
